VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL TEACHER LITERACY TEST (VTEL) PREP COURSE
Taking any standardized test can be difficult, especially if some time has passed since you sat in a classroom and were asked to write an essay.
This preparation class will concentrate on test phobia, technology phobia and composition.
The preparation will lead you through a review of the basic grammar and the mechanics of writing, focusing on the 5 paragraph essay end the development of the responsive essay.
Practice with the VTEL type questions and scoring rubrics will offer test takers an opportunity to become familiar with the process and gain confidence in the ability to do well on the VTEL.
This is a 3 day review of the mechanics of writing, grammar review and spelling.
Emphasis will be on the development of the 5 paragraph persuasive essay and the development of the responsive essay.

Please be reminded that the Course is scheduled to begin Saturday, October 14 from 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.
The course will continue on Saturday, October 21, 8:30-2:30 P.M. and Saturday, October 28, from 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M .
All sessions will be held at Joseph P. Keefe Regional Technical High School (South Middlesex Regional) 750 Winter Street, Framingham, MA. Parking is available at the front of the building and you must enter by the main entrance and proceed one flight up to the library which is located directly above the main entrance.
We will communicate with you via email in the event of any changes in the schedule. I advise that you check your email prior to leaving your house in the morning. In the unlikely event that the session is canceled we will work to reschedule. In the event of inclement weather the session is cancelled if the school is closed. Announcements via TV/Radio.
Regarding food: No food or drink is provided. Keefe Tech is our host. Please be sure to leave the room clean and neat. REMINDER: Food and drink is NOT allowed in the library.
